HOORAY!!!!!! Loved the welcome video!! Thank you for keeping in the outtakes (Cindy: you did TELL Steve you were doing that, right?? ;-) and maintaining the "Steve-factor"
I'm still surfing around the site but wanted to send Congrats and Kudos to you and Cindy!!!

Thanks, Kristen!!!
I'm glad you're the first one ever to comment on the site! We haven't yet promoted it (we're doing that tonight) but we wanted to throw it up today and make sure it works!
If you see anything that doesn't work, could you let us know? You're the best!!!

Weird! My comment only went on there once.
I think maybe the internet-ether trolls must have it in for you! Maybe you need to put out some cheese or cookies or something to appease them???

Love the new site. It is fresh, inspiring, and soooo Steve! Kudos to all involved and best wishes for your continued success.
The use of humor along with the honest take on corporate communications will keep me coming back for more!

Thanks, Diane!
Oh, we're going to get a lot more humorous!!! I think you'll like the content a lot. Lots of very helpful stuff . . .but we're going to have fun delivering it!!

The new site looks great.
I love how Steve guides me around the website from his desk.
The camera work was a little shaky in the early going, was Cindy keeping the Santa mug in the frame on purpose? :)
Bazooka Joe - that was a good one.
see you soon.

I think Cindy was drunk.

Well, let's be honest here, considering the behaviour of the "talent" Cindy had to work with (after all it's right there in the video!), wouldn't YOU have gotten drunk before you tried to film this?!?!

Congratulations, Steve! Great to see you here. The site rocks. Ella and Weezie really earned their keep. Looking forward to joining the conversation as often as I can.

Kristen:
Given that she has to deal with that "talent" all day, every day, I'm surprised she's ever sober.
Ann: Thank you! And the site is only getting better. We're going to add more content to the home page, and do some other tweaking. Please come back often and talk!

Hey - looks like you are having the usual fun you throw into everything you do. Congrats on a new beginning in 2009! RR.RC must be spitting bullets to lose you, AND have to compete with you!!!!!!!
Let me know when you are coming to LA - I think your Creative Communications looks intriguing!
I've once again been shifted into yet another area of my company to ply my communication skills - IT! Can you believe it? I'm actually getting the opportunity to make their site and communications CREATIVE and FUNCTIONAL. Perish the thought! And the acronyms dance on - I moved from CC (Corp Comm) to PCOE (Portfolio Center of Excellence) to ESO (Enterprise Solutions Office) to ITG (Information Technology Group) working on AO/IO/PPO and PDLC. But those are confidential, so you can fill in your own definitions.
And how did you get such a beautiful and talented partner???? There must be a secret hidden under that turtle neck!

Hey Steve ... It's Mason Dolan at Wells Fargo Financial in Des Moines. Love the new site. Looking forward to all that is to come! Sidenote: I tried e-mailing you using the "Contact us" address but the e-mail was returned as undeliverable ... You are definitely the guru of corporate (or maybe I should now remove the word 'corporate') communications.
Posted by: Mason | 01/13/2009 at 04:18 PM
Somebody throw Linda a lifeline . . .she's drowning in alphabet soup!!!!!! Good luck with the new role, Linda! It sounds challenging but interesting. And you may just get to make a difference!
Mason: Thanks man. We're having some fun over here! And plan to have more. If this economy would turn around, we have some GREAT ideas for live events for communicators: small groups, intimate settings, great presentations and conversations . . . just got to get the travel budgets and training budgets back!
Sorry about the Contact. I'll my IT department look into it. Right now, they have a "licking ourselves" meeting, but as soon as they get out of that, I'll get on them.

There once was a writer named Steve,
Who from Ragan decided to leave.
Didn't have far to roam,
He's out on his own -
With nothing but words up his sleeve!
Congrats on the Web site. The article on HI LINES magazine was excellent. I hope my boss sees the part about NO APPROVALS!
