Excellent interview! So great to hear "from the master" about the latest in communication technology. I needed the update!

One assumes you two lofty professionals are drinking diet soda in that photo, n'est-ce pas? ;-)

Those were both mai tais, Charles. As if you didn't know.

I have a question for Shel. Shel mentions in the interview the fact that employees WILL be using social media at work whether the employers block sites like Facebook or not, by using their personal devices to do so if they have to.

I'm wondering if in Shel's (and yours too Steve) conversations and interactions with employers, if they understand this and are still making a conscious decision to not allow social media tools on "the company's" equipment, or if they really are still in denial and think that by blocking these sites, employees will wait until they get home to Twitter and Facebook??

Part two of my question: for communicators who work for "dinoaur" employers, do either of you have any recommendations for effective arguments or approaches communicators could use to try to convince the employers to open the doors to the current century?
